This Nike ad was produced by an advertising executive who wanted a film director credit. With the permission of Nike, he personally paid for this ad to air in the middle of the night in North Dakota. Twelve people saw the local airing.
The vocalist is the winner of Nashville Star, season one in 2003, Buddy Jewel. The vocal track was his third and final take. There were no edits nor punches. His first two takes were completely as acceptable, but Buddy wanted to sing it again. He is that good.
