About Us

Brian Scott Kelly began his professional musical career at the age of sixteen, performing with the Chattanooga Little Theater while attending the Magnet High School of Performing Arts in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Brian received course credit as a private instructor for students at the Magnet school and worked as a freelance music instructor. He also performed with the Chattanooga Community Orchestra and the Chattanooga Junior Symphony Orchestra and studied privately with percussionists Chip Hancock and Les Heard.

While attending Middle Tennessee State University Brian studied Classical Theory under Dr. Raymond Bills and Jazz Theory under Professor Roget Pontbriand. Brian began his technical endeavors as a student employee of the Audio Maintenance department where he gained invaluable hands-on experience in equipment installation, wiring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. His studies at MTSU’s Recording Industry Management School, earned him a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication, Majoring in Recording Industry Technology with a Music Industry Minor.

Upon graduating Brian landed his first career gig with Sound Cell Studios in Huntsville, Alabama as Manager and Chief Engineer where client projects spanned music, film, television, and radio productions. After relocating to Nashville, Tennessee, Brian was employed as Manager for an audio post facility where he engineered client projects ranging from music productions, films, radio shows, music videos, television specials, commercials, CD-ROM, DVDs, web design, and played guitar on client masters.

Brian is a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and the Audio Engineering Society. As owner and operator of Sound Shape Media Services, Brian’s primary role is producer and engineer of advertising, film, radio, television, multi-media, and print productions.  Services for these productions include audio engineering, sound design, video editing, branding, graphic design, illustrator, photography, e-book conversion, web design, HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Bootstrap, WordPress, WooCommerce, jQuery, and JavaScript coding. Brian has served clients in Animation, Advertising, Entertainment, Broadcast, Publishing, Continuing Education, Pharmaceutical, Medical, and Manufacturing Industries.
